AirDC was a new airline that was to be formed as a joint venture between Brussels Airlines and Hewa Bora Airways in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to operate domestic and regional services, and offer connections to Brussels Airlines' flights to Europe. Operations were to begin in March 2008, initially with two BAe 146-200s and a Boeing 737 supplied by Brussels Airlines. The project suffered repeated delays and was ultimately abandoned.

Korongo Airlines is a new airline being formed in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) by Brussels Airlines in partnership with Georges Forrest International (GFI) and Congolese investors. The airline will be based in Lubumbashi, and will initially operate two BAe 146-200s and a Boeing 737 supplied by Brussels Airlines. Operations should begin in the second quarter of 2011.
