Air China was formed from the Beijing division of CAAC in 1989, and inherited four BAe 146-100s. They were operated on the airline's domestic services until being withdrawn from service early in 2003. | ||

China Northwest was formed from the Xian division of CAAC in 1989, and inherited three BAe 146-100s. The airline supplemented them with eight BAe 146-300s delivered between 1992 and 1994. One series 300 was lost in a landing accident at Yinchuan in July 1993. China Northwest has been merged into China Eastern. |
