Sol Airlines BAe 146 N610AW at La Romana (Tadeu Fessel)

Sol Airlines is a new airline being estalished by Brazilian investors. It will be based at La Romana, on the southeastern coast of the island, and hopes to operate as many as ten BAe 146s, as well as Boeing 767s. The 146s would be used on domestic and regional flights. The first of two former Air Wisconsin BAe 146s, series 200 N610AW Marco Costa (msn E2082), was ferried from Mexico City to La Romana on June 10. N609AW (msn E2070) should follow shortly. No date has been announced for the start of services.
