Hemus Air operated a BAe 146 on behalf of Romanian low-cost airline Blue Air during the summer of 2005, and then again during the winter of 2007-08.

Romanian airline Romavia is operating a BAe 146-200 on behalf of Carpatair, with Carpatair titles and a small logo on the tail. Earlier, another BAe 146 operated by Romavia on Carpatair's behalf was severely damaged in a landing accident at Bucuresti on April 22, 2008.

Romanian airline Romavia leased a former Meridiana BAe 146-200 from BAE Systems in April 2005, and second 146 was added in March 2007. They are being used for charters and government flights. Bucharest-based Romavia has a long history of operating British-built aircraft, having flown BAC One-Elevens for many years. One of the airline's 146s was severely damaged in a landing accident at Bucuresti on April 22, 2008. A third 146 was leased to cover for her, and is operated on behalf of Carpatair.
