Romanian airline Romavia leased a former Meridiana BAe 146-200 from BAE Systems in April 2005, and second 146 was added in March 2007. They were used for charters, government flights, and some scheduled services. One 146 was damaged beyond economic repair in a landing accident in April 2008 while operating for Carpatair. Operations ceased in October 2010, and the 146s were returned to BAE Systems. The airline then leased one of the 146s again in August 2011 and resumed operations.
